Welcome! I am Holly, a personal trainer, Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (in training), fitness enthusiast, wife and mother among many other things. My passion is in teaching others how to live their best life both in fitness & nutrition. I love being active outdoors, experimenting with new recipes, reading, movies and mostly spending time with my husband and two kids.

I believe we are all bio-individual beings with different nutritional needs. I strive to empower my clients to understand and listen to what their body is saying and help them to get to the root cause of chronic issues. When a person combines this knowledge with proper nutrition for those bio-individual needs and adds in daily movements or workouts, they can then live their best life!

My love of fitness began when my kids were young.  Running became a way for me to clear my head from the everyday stresses of life and have “me” time.  After a running injury, I turned to strength training to fix a muscular imbalance that was causing my issues. From there I slowly advanced from a self-proclaimed cardio queen who had no idea how to cook and didn’t understand how the body works to loving strength training, cooking healthy foods and learning about the body.

After my first running injury, I continued to find confidence in myself in fitness and many other aspects of my life.  After learning the basics of a typical strength training routine and seeing changes in my strength and body that I loved, I wanted to know more. I wanted to learn the “why” of workout progression and everyday nutrition.  I enrolled in the National Academy of Sports Medicine’s Certified Personal Training Course to learn more.

Along the way, I started to experiment with high-quality foods. The packaged convenience food my family was used to eating on a regular basis had to go.  Eventually, after watching many cooking shows, my cooking skills progressed. I then received a few requests from friends and family for recipes to cook. I decided to create a home for my recipes to live online.  My family also asked that I create a website for my recipes, so they can make these same meals.

After noticing what a difference it made to my overall health when I stopped eating packaged food, I wanted to know the “why” of this as well. So I took a Fitness Nutrition Specialist class to learn more. Now I love helping others learn what their own kind of healthy is. Finding a balance of what foods and activity levels work for each individual person and their goals is my passion!
